The Berkley Public Safety Deparment is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The lobby is always open to report a crime, ask a question or stop in for a parking permit.
But beyond that, we will allow youth groups a tour of our station, as long as it is pre-approved through the Patrol Division. This may include local Cub scouts / Girl scouts or Boy Scouts, birthday parties, or just the kid who is fascinated with Fire Trucks and Police Cars!
Visits are limited to non-essential areas. We allow certain groups to see the fire hall, some of the operation areas, Dispatch, the Range, Detective Bureau and sometimes, the Jail. Please understand that due to the privacy of arrested persons, this may be off limits during certain days/times.
