Oakland County Tactical Response Consortium, also known as OakTac, was established in 2009 to prepare Oakland County in the event of a major incident requiring a mutual aid response. OakTac law enforcement consortium uniformly trains and exercises using shared resources to strengthen overall preparedness capabilities. With the help of Urban Area Security Initiative Grants, OakTac has been able to secure funding for training, exercises, equipment, supplies, and other resources.
