The Berkley Detective Bureau is staffed with 3 Full Time Detectives, specializing in Criminal Investigations of all crimes occurring within Berkley. They also handle Juveniles who are 16 and under who commit status or criminal actions. The Detective Bureau is on call every day and has seven State Certified Evidence Technicians.
In 2016, Berkley Detective Bureau handled 610 investigations from the simplest neighbor trouble or harassment to the larger Frauds, Break-Ins and Robberies along with 40 Juvenile cases.
Berkley Detectives strive to work every case as much as possible, to provide fair and thorough investigations in Berkley. Berkley was named 5th safest City in Michigan in 2015 and the Berkley Public Safety Department is proud of keeping criminal activity away.
