ANIMAL CONTROL

Picture
Berkley Animal Control has been around for many years providing safe return of pets to their loved ones.  In 2003, Berkley agreed to offer services to the City of Royal Oak through a contract and has been showing love to the animals ever since.  Berkley Animal Control is on duty Monday - Friday from 7am - 3pm.

The Animal Control Officer also helps clean up deceased animals, our Vaccination Clinic in April and provides additional support to Officers when called upon.   They also;
  • responds to calls about problem pets
  • investigates complaints about animal bites
  • maintains the animal shelter at the Berkley Public Works yard
  • transports animals as needed to the Royal Oak Animal Shelter or Oakland County Animal Shelter
The city does not have a pet adoption program.
If your pet is missing or if you have found a stray animal call the Public Safety Department at 248-658-3380. For information on licensing your pet check here.
